Persons at a news conference scheduled for the end of this month to launch the nationwide program. "The first bracelets received by these courageous families will be imprinted with the names of their loved ones who struggled with AIDS," explained Frank.
Among the first 'PWA' Bracelet recipients is Maryjane Edwards, President of the Mothers Of AIDS Persons/Los Angeles. Stated Mrs. Edwards, whose son's name will be among the first inscribed, "The bracelet which honors my son's memory also honors his family who remembers his courage and determination in battling the disease which took his life. I'm sure his friends and colleagues will join our family, proudly, in wearing this symbol of national unity and caring in the battle to defeat AIDS."
'Cosexual Politics' At ONE May 10
ONE Institute of Homophile Studies, Los Angeles, continues its 1986-87 Extension Lecture Series on the second Sunday in May, 1987, rather than the customary first Sunday, presenting Sue Moore, LCSW, Director of Lesbian Central at GLCSC. An update and analysis of the status of co-sexual politics in our movement, where men and women are increasingly being called upon to work in coalition, will be presented by Ms. Moore, who will address these issues from an organizational-development viewpoint, as well as calling on her personal experience as a lesbian activist. She is a practicing psychotherapist, has worked in community mental health for over 15 years, founded the Chicago lesbian newspaper Lavender Woman in 1971, and was active in the successful Indiana 1976 ERA campaign.
The program will be presented in Arlington Hall at 3 P.M., Sunday, May 10, 1987. The only access to the campus will be the gate at 12th and Van Ness, one block east of Arlington and one mile north of the Santa Monica Freeway (1-10), which will open at 2:30 sharp and close at 3:15; parking is on the tennis court. A social hour with light refreshments will follow the program; admission is $5 (free for Contributing and Associate Member of ONE-show card).
One Institute has been presenting these. lectures since 1956. The Institute, which operates a Graduate School of Homophile Studies, is a joint project of ONE, Inc. (founded 1952) and its affiliated foundation, the Institute for the Study of Human Resources (founded 1964). The important Baker Memorial Library and Archives are also housed on the campus.

Three Major Firms Endorse N.Y. Event
Frederick A.O. Schwarz, Jr., New York City's chief lawyer from 1982 to 1986, is the first recipient of Lambda Legal Defense Fund's Liberty Award, the organization has announced.
The award was presented at a reception in Manhattan on April 22nd, marking the first anniversary of the passage of the New York City ordinance outlawing discrimination on account of a person's sexual orientation. As the City's Corporation Counsel, Schwarz was instrumental in guiding the measure to passage.
